My celebration of finishing my finals was short-lived.
As soon as I entered the Babies room, it became chaos, but not chaos.
The storm was over by the time I arrived. In the morning we had an outbreak of Hand Foot Mouth disease (by the way, totally different from the animal disease with the
similar name). They sent home 10 out of 16 children in the span of 3 hours… that is a lot of sick children.
We then had to sanitise and clean everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Plus another child got sent home with a temperature and we had to isolate other children…
I had no idea outbreaks were so scary.. plus no one from the other rooms wanted to come say ‘hi’ :(
On another note, I AM FREEEEEEE!
At one point, I’m so glad my
four years is up.. but I’m quite sad about not being able to write essays on early childhood and reading journals and textbooks on them anymore.. Although I’m not quite ready for Masters… I will definitely miss the whole feel of going to uni (although in my final year I BARELY did that, haha) or buying textbooks.. meeting up with friends in the same class..
